What to expect
The track follows an unpaved access road with gentle to moderate grades through dense forest. Underfoot conditions vary with weather—expect soft earth, leaf litter and potential muddy sections after rain. Tall timber provides good overhead shade for much of the walk. The path is reasonably clear and straightforward to follow; carry a map or GPS mark the trailhead.
Good to know
Wear sturdy boots or trail shoes for grip on unpaved surface. Carry at least 1 litre of water; there are no reliable sources along the track. South-West summer heat and bushfire risk (Dec–Feb) make cooler months preferable. Spring wildflowers enliven the forest floor. Check local conditions before heading out.
