What to expect
An easy-grade unpaved track on an old forest road, mostly flat or gentle. Expect red earth and gravel underfoot, with typical South-West forest shade from karri, marri and other native trees. The short distance means minimal elevation change. Signposting may be basic, so watch for turns.
Good to know
Carry water even on short walks in WA bushland. Wear sturdy, closed shoes for unpaved terrain. In summer (Dec–Feb), track bushfire risk and start early. Spring wildflowers (Aug–Oct) can be excellent in this region. The South-West can be muddy after rain.
