What to expect
An unpaved track with steady, gentle gradient changes typical of the Collie region. The surface will be firmer after dry spells, softer in wet months. Expect dappled shade from karri, jarrah and marri forest along much of the route. The track should be clear and reasonably easy to follow, though checking for recent conditions with the Shire is wise.
Good to know
Carry water, especially in warmer months. Wear sturdy footwear—unpaved tracks can be uneven and muddy. In summer (Dec–Feb), start early to avoid heat and be aware of bushfire risk. Spring (Aug–Oct) is ideal walking weather. Check conditions with Collie Visitor Centre or the local Shire before heading out.
