Scar Road
About this track
Scar Road is a challenging 7.3 km track near Collie that rewards fit walkers with rewarding terrain and forest character. The route takes around 1.5 hours and suits those comfortable with rough, uneven ground and steep sections. This is proper bushwalking country in the South-West, where karri and jarrah forest cover the landscape.

What to expect
Uneven, rocky ground with exposed tree roots and steep pitches. Limited shade in places; forest cover is patchy. Trail may be wet and slippery after rain. Signposting is basic—navigation skills and map awareness help. Terrain is rough underfoot; sturdy, well-gripped boots essential.
Good to know
Carry 1.5–2 litres of water minimum; there are no reliable water sources. South-West summer heat and bushfire risk mean autumn to spring is safest. Wear closed, grip-soled boots. Check conditions and fire danger ratings before heading out. Dogs are generally not permitted in conservation areas.
