What to expect
Unpaved track with gentle to moderate gradient through dense forest. Shaded for much of the walk thanks to tall timber. The track is generally well-defined underfoot with leaf litter and some rocky sections. Variable signposting — check locally before starting. Expect soft forest floor and occasional exposed tree roots.
Good to know
Carry at least 1 litre of water; South-West summers are hot and shade alone won't cool you. Wear sturdy walking boots for grip on loose ground. Spring (August–October) offers best conditions and wildflower displays. In summer and autumn, check local bushfire restrictions. Dogs often not permitted in nearby reserves—check before you go.
