What to expect
Well-formed track underfoot with minimal elevation change. The walk winds through typical South-West forest with good canopy cover. Track is signposted and easy to follow. Mostly shaded beneath tall timber, though some open sections allow forest views. Generally dry underfoot except after heavy rain.
Good to know
Carry water despite the short distance, especially in warmer months. Spring (August–October) shows off wildflowers in nearby heathland. Wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip. No facilities at the trailhead, so visit Pemberton township beforehand. Dogs are generally not permitted in forest reserves—check local regulations.
