What to expect
Well-formed track through native forest with gentle to moderate grades. The track is generally signposted and shaded by the tall timber canopy. Underfoot you'll find leaf litter, occasional rocky patches and compacted earth typical of karri country. Expect dappled light through the forest rather than open views.
Good to know
Carry water, especially in warmer months. Wear sturdy walking shoes for grip on forest floor. Spring (August–October) brings wildflowers to the forest understory. Summer brings heat and bushfire risk; check conditions before visiting. Dogs are generally not permitted in national parks and nature reserves.
