What to expect
A well-defined bush track on forest floor, mostly level with gentle undulation. Expect shade from tall timber for much of the walk, though some exposed stretches occur. The surface is variable—packed earth, leaf litter and occasional rocky sections. Track is generally signposted and easy to follow.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water; there are no facilities mid-walk. Wear sturdy walking shoes with good grip. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers wildflowers and mild conditions. Summer brings heat and bushfire risk; check fire restrictions before heading out. Dogs are often not permitted on forest tracks.
