What to expect
A mostly unpaved, undulating track winding through jarrah and marri forest. Expect rough, loose surfaces in places and several steep climbs and descents that will test your legs. The track is generally signposted but navigation can be challenging in dense sections. Shade varies—some stretches are well-canopied, others more exposed to the elements.
Good to know
- Open to cyclists
Carry plenty of water; the forest offers limited shelter and South-West summers are hot. Wear sturdy, well-gripped footwear or use an appropriate mountain bike. Check conditions after rain as unpaved sections can become boggy or slippery. Spring (August–October) offers pleasant temperatures and wildflower interest. Not suitable for casual walkers or road bikes.
