What to expect
An unpaved forest track with gentle to moderate grades underfoot. The track meanders through dense South-West woodland with good canopy cover in places, reducing direct sun. Signposting is standard; the route is well-defined but not heavily trafficked. Expect occasional rough sections and uneven ground typical of forest tracks.
Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water; no facilities on track. Wear sturdy walking boots for grip on loose forest floor. Spring (Aug–Oct) offers cooler walking and wildflower colour. In summer, start early and watch for bushfire risk; check conditions before you go. Dogs are often restricted in conservation areas—confirm locally.
