Good to know
Carry at least 1–2 litres of water; South-West summers are hot and dry. Wear sturdy walking boots for grip on gravel. Spring (Aug–Oct) is ideal—wildflowers bloom and weather is mild. In summer, start early and watch for bushfire risk. Dogs usually permitted on forest tracks; check local conditions before visiting.
