- Short duration suits families and casual visitors
- Views of gorge floor and surrounding formations
What to expect
Gravel underfoot with a gentle-to-moderate descent into the gorge. The path is well-defined and straightforward, with good signposting. Shade is limited as the trail winds through open gorge terrain, so you'll be exposed to sun for most of the walk. The gorge walls provide some shelter lower down.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water—the Pilbara is hot and dry, especially October through April. Summer heat and bushfire risk make this walk best done in cooler months (May–September). Wear sturdy walking shoes or boots for the gravel surface. Start early in the day to avoid midday heat.
