Highlights
- Cool fern-lined pool in Pilbara landscape
- Short, flat walk suitable for all fitness levels
- Rocky outcrops typical of Karijini gorge country
- Quick rest stop on a longer trip
What to expect
Well-maintained gravel underfoot with minimal gradient. The path is straightforward and easy to follow, leading through low vegetation and rock formations. Minimal shade, so exposure to sun is likely. The walk is short enough to feel quick, even in warm weather.
Good to know
Carry water despite the short distance—Pilbara heat builds fast. Best visited in cooler months (April to October). Summer brings extreme heat and bushfire risk; check conditions before visiting. Wear sturdy walking shoes for uneven ground around the pool area.
