- Seasonal waterhole for cooling off
- Easy gradient, minimal elevation change
- Quick walk suitable for families
- Classic Pilbara landscape
What to expect
Unpaved track descending gently into the gorge with red earth and rock underfoot. The path is straightforward and well-defined, with minimal scrambling. Shade increases as you drop into the gorge, but much of the approach is open to sun. Walking time is brief, so the trail feels manageable for most fitness levels.
Good to know
Carry water, especially in warmer months—the Pilbara heat is intense. Wear sturdy walking shoes or boots for rocky sections. The waterhole is seasonal, so flow varies by rainfall. Summer bushfire risk is high; check park conditions before visiting. Best walked during cooler months (April–September).
