What to expect
Unpaved track with gentle grades, typical of Pilbara walking trails. The path is straightforward and well-used; handrails assist on steeper or uneven sections near the pool. Expect sparse shade—trees are scattered in this arid landscape—so sun exposure is moderate to high. Signposting is standard for the region.
Good to know
Carry plenty of water; the Pilbara is hot and dry year-round. Wear sturdy, closed walking shoes for rough ground. Summer (Nov–Mar) brings extreme heat and bushfire risk; visit in cooler months (Apr–Sep). Check local conditions before setting out, especially after rain when red earth can become slippery.
