What to expect
An unpaved footpath on red earth with gentle grades, typical of Pilbara country. The track is straightforward and well-used, with minimal elevation gain. Expect open ground with limited shade; the landscape is sparse, so sun exposure is significant.
Good to know
Carry water, even for a short walk—the Pilbara heat is intense. Wear sturdy shoes for the uneven red-earth surface. Visit in cooler months (April–September). Summer brings extreme heat and bushfire risk. There is no shade, so start early and bring sun protection.
